For Clive

May time help to ease your pain
May the joyous memories of times spent with loved ones
Remain in your heart and mind forever
May the memories held within your heart help to soothe your spirit at this time
Words can not heal the pain of loosing one so dear.

It hurts but I know God is with you.

Destruction of Negative Thinking

Someone once told me that “what you focus on grows.” I believe it actually means that whatever your my mind focuses on will grow. If I focus on success, I’d definitely have success.
One thing we must know is that, the mind is no respecter of persons. So if your mind is focused on the negative then you get a negative reality. Take for instance, Defeat. If you fill your mind with defeat, defeat becomes your focus and it will eventually reflect outwardly in everything you do. Like Napoleon Hill said,
"Like the wind which carries one ship east, and another west, the law of autosuggestion will lift you up or pull you down, according to the way you set sails of thought."

Here's a poem that better illustrates what i'm talking about:

If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you like to win, but you think you can't,
It is almost certainyou won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost
For out in the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will-
Its all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!

Persistence, Never Giving Up

I saw a little girl the other day trying to walk. Each time she brings out one chubby foot she looses balance and ends up on the floor. She tried one time and fell so hard that she hit her elbow on the tiled floor. The expression on her face changed and I actually thought she was going to cry but before I could get to her, she got up and stood up to try again. This time she move her leg, though unstable, she stood for a while before she fell. She then turned and looked at me with a smile on her face. I sat back and gave her a smile for a job well done.
That little girl's persistence got me thinking. If I fall or fail would I get up and try again or would I sit on the floor and cry, feeling sorry for myself?
I turned to look at the little girl again, this time she was trying to reach a tea cup on the tea table. I smiled and got up to move it from her reach. She frowned at me, then crawled to the sofa and started climbing.
Persistence, never giving up.
Henry Ford did not get it all right the first time he tried to get a car started and computers would not have been invented if someone didn’t keep at it?
These all had to exhibit immense persistence, why should I exhibit any less?
Success is not measured by how many times we fall but by how many times we get up again. There will always be times when I fail but if I take these failures as opportunities to start again more brilliantly, then and only then will failure be the driving force for success.
I believe that there are so many opportunities and possibilities to explore, so this new year, I'd stop worrying about my shortcomings and disappointments. I'd explore and keep on keeping on.

Your Choice

A happy person is not a person with certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with certain set of attitudes

Been Sick

Its so good to be back here. I have not been feeling well and it really weighed me down and I couldn't even go out for a whole week. Can you imagine, I even lost a few kilos (Which is good) and I've been trying to loose it for a long while but its malaria that actually now worked but I don't think I want to get sick again anytime soon just to loose some more kilos.
Well I'm happy to be back here among you bloggers. I'd stop by and visit your blogs real soon.
Love,
Ebun

A Strong Will

The power of getting things done is what I call Strong Will.
A strong will is the only difference between the haves and the have-nots, between those who make things happen and those who always wonder what happened.

A strong will always finds a way to bridge the gap between a dream and reality, between the starting line and the finish line of every dream, between the bottom and the summit of every accomplishment.

Never forget...where there's a will, a way is always found. You will find a way to make your dreams come true, but first you must develop a strong will.

The difference between perseverance and obstinacy is that one comes from a strong will, and the other from a strong won't. ~Henry Ward Beecher

My trip to Ghana

I travelled to Ghana over the weekend for my friend's wedding, The trip was tiring but it was so much fun because I went with such wonderful friends. I stayed in a hotel called Dutch Hotel in Nungua, the hotel is beautiful with my room facing the beach. Though their customer service needs an improvement and the staff should learn to be nice, overall it was nice but I'm happy to be back home and to my laptop( just got in yesterday night). Esther was such a lovely bride, her gown was so gorgeous. I'm really happy for her. On my next post I'll put in some more pictures.

Believe In Yourself

Believe in yourself--
In the power you have
to control your life,
day by day.
Believe in the strength
that you have deep inside,
and your faith will help
show you the way...

Believe in tomorrow
and wht it will bring--
let a hopeful heart
carry you through...

For things will work out
if you trust and believe
there's no limit
to what you can do!

Always believe in you,
Listen to your heart.
Trust your instincts.
Know you CAN.
See your own strengths.
Dream it-- Dare it.
Do wht you are afaid of.
Keep the faith.
Follow your vision...
Remember ANYTHING is possible
if only you believe.

Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy

It is Contagious

Thoughts affect our behavior and choices a whole lot today. Positive and negative thinking are both contagious. All of us affect, in one way or another, the people we meet. For instance, if you are a happy person, anybody around you will be happy and of course the other way around. This happens instinctively and on a subconscious level, through thoughts and feelings transference and through body language. People sense our aura and are affected by our thoughts. Is it any wonder that we want to be around positive persons and shun negative ones? People are more disposed to help us if we are positive. They dislike and avoid anyone broadcasting negativity.
Negative thoughts, words and attitude bring up negative and unhappy moods and actions. When the mind is negative, poisons are released into the blood, which cause more unhappiness and negativity. This is the way to failure, frustration and disappointment. What we do affect other people. Unseen filaments running somehow from mind to mind connect us together in countless ways. I try to be a happy and loving person.

I'm Back

Thanks you all for your prayers and concern for my family. My Grandma is doing ok now but she has lost the will to do anything. She gets so frustrated trying to walk that she gets upset for days if she dosen't do as well as she used to at once then she won't do anything again until we talk to her. She actually told me one day that she is so tired, I told her I'd pray for her, that she be able to walk, smile and sing like she use to. Keep praying guys.
I love you all so very much its good to have such caring friends as you all.
Meow I got your postcard, I'm still trying to get a very lovely postcard; now I have time yours will be on the way very soon.
I'm back now and I be here with lots of post.
Love,
Ebun.
