Soar Above the Storm

The Eagle is a creation of God. It is the most majestic of all birds. An eagle is around 90 cm tall and reaches over 2 m between the wings. She builds her nest on the cliff or in a high tree. The nest is so large that a human can sleep in it. It can weigh 700 kg and is also comfortable. Eagles do not fly like other birds, flapping their wings profusely and using their own strength. Instead, eagles SOAR majestically, making use of the wind currents to gain height. There is a special up going wind where the eagle rides the wind and circle higher and higher toward the sky, without effort. She just spreads her wings. Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm. When the storms of life come upon us -- and all of us will experience them -- we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward a goal. If we set our mind above the storm it will enable us to ride the winds of the storm that brings sickness, tragedies, failures and disappointments in our lives. We can soar above the storm. Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.

Quote of the Week

The more intensely we feel about an idea or a goal, the more assuredly the idea, buried deep in our subconscious, will direct us along the path to its fulfillment
.

Earl Nightingale

Hang in There

Sometimes all you might need to the realization
of that which you've been waiting for is a little more stamina.

It might take you a little longer than the others. You might
have to work harder than the others. But others' victory won't
taste half as sweet as yours.

Real victory is achieved when real obstacles are overcome.
Without adversity, without challenges, without opposition....
there's no victory.

"Sometimes the success you look for can be found by overcoming
the obstacles that you want to run away from." ~Andres Lara

The Gift

Friendship is the only cement that will ever hold the world together

- Woodrow Wilson
Friends are a gift from God. Friends are often an important part of our lives. Our friends are usually people we trust and respect. Like any relationship, friendships generally require work and making changes to the friendship is not uncommon. But a true friend sticks by your side even when things get tough. This is the kind of friend you desire and this is the friend you must be. A friend encourages and challenges you to be the best and to achieve your greatest dreams. Relating is the basis of friendship, but to have Best friends require one-on-one contact to survive. Telephone calls and getting together are musts for best friends to continue. When there is conflict, it must be resolved for friendship to continue. Confrontation is one way to resolve conflict. Talking it out is another.
We become what we think about. If you are short on friends, it can only be because you have chosen to BE someone who NEEDS a friend. To solve that needy problem, you must give up your NEED and choose to be open to BEING someone's GOOD FRIEND. You're choosing to be the source of what you thought you needed. Try it. You'll find The Law of Attraction filling your order for a new friend quicker than you might believe.

Follow Your Dream

Follow your dream
Take one step at a time
Don't settle for less
Just continue climbing
Follow your dream
If you stumble don't stop
Keep your eyes on the goal
And press on to the top
For only on the top
Can you see the whole view
Can you see what you have done
And that you can do
Can you then have a vision
To see something new
Press on and follow your dream
-Amanda Bradley

"The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less
than you settled for"
-Maureen Dowd

Dream Big

When you have a dream of what you want to be, you won't be satisfied with anything less or the way you are now, until you get what it is you want. To realise your dreams you have to have a purpose in life. Say to yourself everyday "this and this is what i want out of life." Remember, these words must be backed by action for you to be successful. When you think of something often enough it tends to be the most dominating thought in your mind.
To make that dream a reality, you must change what goes in. Like John Mason said " Changing the input can change the output...you can change the future because you can control your thoughts". Along the way you would encounter troubles and setbacks that will try to take your eyes off the goal, just keep your eyes on the goal and look beyond limitations and barriers. Live out your dreams and be happy.

Start everyday with an inspiring thought

Success Story-Dell

Michael S. Dell, who founded the Dell Computer Corporation in 1984 with nothing more than $1,000 and an idea, serves as Chairman (he was also chief executive officer until 2004) of the fastest-growing major computer systems business in the world. Michael has always had the desire to learn and the drive to work hard, right from when he was in high-school:He traded stamps by advertising in stamp mags and with the $200 profit he made, he bought his first computer. Then he sold subscription for the Houston post ($18,000 profit on a BMW), on and on he went until he felt that he had to compete with IBM, by adding features and improved performance of computers.
Dell risked his savings and incorporated Dell Computer Corp. on May 3, 1984 at 19 years.
The company is now worth billions because Dell decided to bypass the middleman, who adds little value to the products, and sell custom-built PCs directly to end users.
In only 15 years, the company's sales have skyrocketed from $6 million to a whopping $35 billion in 2002. Since its first international addition opened in the United Kingdom in 1987, Dell has opened sales offices in over 34 countries, and boasts over 33 thousand employees in over 170 countries and territories all over the world.
Another of Dell's worldwide innovations is his leadership on the Web. Dell is recognized as the largest online commercial seller of computer systems, with an average of over $30 million per day in online sales. The company also redefined the role of the Web in delivering faster and more efficient service to customers.
The company's business clientele includes most of the companies in the Fortune 500 list of the top performing American companies. With the addition of Dell Computer Corporation to this list in 1992, Dell became the youngest CEO of a company ever to earn a ranking on the Fortune 500 .
The value of Dell's stock has risen almost 70,000% over the past decade and in 1999, The Wall Street Journal named Dell Computers No. 1 in total returns to investors over the past three, five and ten years.
Back when he had a one room firm he told his friends his dream of becoming the largest personal-computer maker. His story is that of a man who had a dream and worked hard to achieve that dream and this should help someone out there to try and realise your dream, what you truly love to achieve.

Attitudes

The attitude you present to the outside world matters a whole lot. It affects the way you see things, how you relate to others and how you relate to people in general. It shows who you are, It shows . The following quotes capture the essence of such an attitude. "They Can because they Think they Can." (Virgil) "A positive attitude is the outward manifestation of a mind that dwells primarily on positive matters. It is a mindset tipped in favour of creative activity rather than boredom; joy over sadness, hope over futility. A positive attitude is that state of mind which can be maintained only through conscious effort". (Elwood Chapman, "Attitude: Your Most Precious Possession") "You can do anything if you have enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes rise to the stars. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eyes, the swing in your gait and the grip of your hand, the irresistable surge of will and energy to execute your ideas. Enthusiasts are fighters. They have fortitude. They have staying qualities. "I think negative people should be taxed. They require an incredible amount of energy. In conclusion the following story and quote can summarise my thoughts. A man found an eagle's egg and placed it under a brooding hen. The eagle hatched with the chickens and grew to be like them. He clucked and cackled, scratched the earth for worms, flapped his wings and managed to fly a few feet in the air. Years passed. One day the eagle, now grown old saw a magnificent bird above him in the sky; it glided in graceful majesty against the powerful wind, with scarcely a movement of its golden wings. Spellbound the eagle asked "who's that?" "That's the king of the birds, the eagle" said his neighbour. "He belongs to the sky. We belong to the earth - we're chickens". So the eagle lived and died a chicken, for that's what he thought he was. "whatever you vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe and enthusiastically act upon, must inevitably come to pass" (Paul Meyer)

Quotes on Dreams

To dream gives you a purpose in life, to achieve that dream, to do anything to make that dream come to pass. Focus on your dream and then start walking towards achieving it.

If you can imagine it you can create it. If you can dream it, you can become it.
Ward
, William Arthur

If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.
Thoreau, Henry David

Be careful what you set your heart on, for it will surely be yours.

Emerson, Ralph Waldo

Always dream and shoot higher than you know how to. Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself.

Faulkner, William

The man who succeeds above his fellows is the one who early in life clearly discerns his object, and towards that object habitually directs his powers.
Earl Nightingale

Unique Diamonds

DIAMOND. The mere mention of the word fills the mind with a multitude of concepts and images. Diamond is a mineral, a natural crystalline substance, the transparent form of pure carbon. Diamond is something superb, the peerless "king of gems" that glitters, dazzles, and symbolizes purity and strength. Diamond is for engagement and the 75th wedding anniversary, for a commitment to never-ending love. Diamond is indomitable, the hardest surface known. Diamond is exotic, formed in Earth's interior and shot to the surface by extraordinary volcanoes. Diamond is a shape. Diamond is distinctly different from its close cousins the common mineral graphite and lonsdaleite, both of which are also composed of carbon. Why is diamond the hardest surface known while graphite is exceedingly soft? Why is diamond transparent while graphite is opaque and metallic black? What is it that makes diamond so unique?
The key to these questions lie in diamond's particular arrangement of carbon atoms or its crystal structure--the feature that defines any mineral's fundamental properties. A crystal is a solid body formed from the bonding of atomic elements or compounds in a repeating arrangement. Often, crystals possess smooth external faces. Due to their symmetrical and finite nature, the building blocks of crystals are limited to relatively small numbers of atoms, and their chemical compositions to simple numerical combinations of elements.Diamond is renowned for its hardness. Hardness is the measure of a substance's resistance to being scratched, and only a diamond can scratch another diamond. Diamond is the hardest substance known.
Hardness is not the only measure of a mineral's durability--the relative resistance to fracture is another. Although diamond is not fragile or prone to breaking apart, all substances including diamond can fracture or shatter. Due to its particular crystal structure, diamond has certain planes of weakness along which it can be split. Diamond is said to have perfect cleavage in four different directions, meaning it will separate neatly along these lines rather than in a jagged or irregular fashion. This is because the diamond crystal has fewer chemical bonds along the plane of its octahedral face than in other directions. Diamond cutters take advantage of cleavage to fashion diamonds efficiently. Diamonds are valuable not because they are like other rocks, but because they are different.
The Diamond signifiy strength. The diamond in the ring signify strength in a relationship, strong love valued like a precious stone.
They have a peculiar way of adding to the beauty of rings. They sparkle in response to their contact with light. DIAMONDS are forever, it can never be broken it represents love that will last forever. We, like diamonds are unique; and its that uniqueness that makes us special. We are special because we are different, not because we are like everyone else.

Today's Lesson

Each one has dreams of what they want to be or do some time in the future. Dreams keeps us alive, give us hope for tomorrow and strength to move on. The journey will definitely be long, rough, hard and painful-its then that you must never loose sight of the goal, keep your eyes on it and press on to the finish line. Don't stop, don't quit, don't loose sight of the goal-keep pressing on. Don't settle for anything less than the best.

Commandment of Success

To be successful in life, you must have a long time goal and to get to that goal, you have to work. Success comes disguised as work-you must work hard to attain that goal. And here is a commandment that will help you realise that goal.
Ten Commandments of Success
I. Take Responsibility
II. Raise the Bar
III. Dream Big
IV. Develop the Action Habit
V. Visualize your Success
VI. Associate with Winners
VII. Give Something Back
VIII. Embrace and be Flexible to Change
IX. Learn to Love the Process
X. Have Faith and be Patient

Condition Your Mind for Success

Have you ever thought of something for a considerable length of time (good or bad thoughts) and find out that you start to live your thoughts.
You can't become a success thinking,"I can't do it", "It's too hard", "I give up", "I am a failure." Thinking this thoughts will definitely make you a failure. We become who we say we are.
God made us free moral agents-to choose who we want to be and what we want in life. You have a lot of say in how your life turns out. Focus your mind on productive things, channel your mind towards the future. Think good thoughts, "I can do it", "I can make straight A's in my term paper", "I'll be successful in life", "I'll be the best". Seize your future. Picture in your mind the desired goal until it is instilled in your subconcious.
Like William James said, "Men can change their circumstance by changing their attitude of mind. You change thoughts by changing what goes in (what goes in must come out), You control the future because you control your thoughts.
Go for the Max! Be the best, perfection is all about being the best.
