Motivation- taking action to succeed

You can’t achieve the goals you set for yourself unless you consistently take action. And you can’t consistently take action unless you’re strongly motivated. And you can’t become strongly motivated until …
Until … until you expect to succeed in advance.
This is something I read today when I was doing a research on motivation, I felt it would be nice to share this with you all.
Most people consistently get the goals they set - and this is because they take action inspite of the obstacles and roadblocks on the way. When it comes to motivation, expectation is everything. When you don’t believe your chance of success is very high, you’re simply not going to see much value in pushing forward and taking action. You’ve got to strongly believe that your chances of succeeding are high - and not just within your time frame. That’s the kind of feeling that will make taking action seem “worth it,” even when there are a lot of things working to sap your motivation.Set a goal and believe and have full confidence that the goals you set not only can be achieved, but will be achieved. Listen to the conversations you’re having in your head about your goals and pay close attention to anything you’re saying to yourself that’s sapping your confidence in your eventual success. It's really hard to put this into action but with constant practice success will come calling.

  • I wholeheartedly agree. This comes down to the central tenant of Christian life, which is faith. This is not to say that non-Christians can not be successful, they most certainly can be. However, Christianity should foster success for precisely the reason described here. I have a similar post, which you are more than welcome to read/critique as well:

  • Yeah Ebun. I can say that each day I go out there in the streets, about my mlm business, I actually experience the truths that are in these things we've learnt to know. Thanks a lot, I am encouraged.

  • Good to have you all here. Thanks.
SC, faith is the things hope for the evidence of things not seen. And there's no way you can be a christian and not be successful in life 'cos to be a christian is success.
Amara, each day we learn how to be successful in every area of our life.
Chole, Since you have the knowledge and the ideas then what you should do is change your thoughts - say I can do it,I will succeed then take action - go ahead and do it inspite of what people would say about it. "Set a goal and believe and have full confidence that the goals you set not only can be achieved, but will be achieved (no matter how long it takes to get there)."
